Using the Deal Activity Feed

The deal activity feed can be accessed from each deal by clicking on the green Activity Feed tab. Accessing the Activity Feed from the deal shows you a chronology of any logged notes, tasks, activity, tours, events, and deal changes specific to that deal along.

  1. Add Note – You can use the Add Note feature to leave a simple note for the deal that will be visible any time the deal activity feed is accessed. Tagging users in the body of your note will email all tagged users a notification containing the comment and a link to the deal.

Simple Notes - To add a simple note for general reference, enter your message in the text field and click the ‘Submit’ button.

Tagged Notes - To tag users in your note, start typing recipient usernames starting with ‘@’ followed by the username.

A drop-down menu of users will show you a list from which you can select the desired user name who will receive the email with the comment and link to the deal.

  1. Task –With the Task tool, you can select from three types of task types: Call, E-mail, To-do, Pursuit and Meeting. Additional task types can be configured by Admin users in Company Settings > General Settings > Settings > Activity Sub-types.

  2. You can build out the task with a title, add a due date, assign the task to specific users and add a comment where you can tag additional users.

Click the ‘Submit’ button to save the task details, which will create a reminder in the internal Deal Manager calendar.

The saved task will create an entry in the internal Deal Manager calendar, which is accessible from the

icon located on the far right of the main menu bar. If you enable Outlook integration, the task will also create an appointment in your Outlook calendar. Outlook Calendar integration can be set by individual users under My Profile > Calendar Integrations.

4. Email - Users are able to email other users and contacts from the deal Activity Feed. Deal attachments are able to be added to the email sent from the activity feed.

5. Log Activity –Create an Activity Feed item for any activity conducted on the deal for any of the three standard activity types: Call, Email, and Meeting. Additional Log Activity types can be configured by Admin users in Company Settings > General Settings > Settings > Activity Sub-types. These activity items appear in chronological order in the deal Activity Feed.

For targeted updates on any logged activity, the comments field can be used to tag Deal Manager users and trigger the e-mail notification so tagged users are directly notified of the activity without logging into Deal Manager.

6. Tour –Track and schedule tour activity for each deal. Each Tour entry updates the deal Activity Feed and creates a calendar item in Deal Manager for the designated time and date.

7. Event –The Event tool allows you to create and schedule events for a specific deal. Assigning a start and end time will create a calendar item and will update the Activity Feed. An event without a start and end date will only create a note on the Activity Feed.
